Happy birthday to us! Today, Tuesday 21st May 2019, Saddle Mountain Hostel turns four years old.
May is always a lovely month here in the Great Glen. Spring happens a bit later here than elsewhere in the UK so we’re enjoying the blossom on our apple trees and bluebells in the garden. This year there are still Highland cows in the field next to the hostel and they are proving a big attraction with our guests (and us!), particularly the three calves. The top of the tree outside the front door is a popular spot to sing for a mate. At the moment a chirpy blackbird is singing his heart out. What a great soundtrack for breakfast.
As it’s our annual birthday message we would like to say thank you to everyone who helps us through the year, particularly our family and friends for their continued support. Thanks also to our guests for choosing to stay with us. If you haven’t stayed with us before, we can definitely recommend this time of year. You could help us celebrate our birthday!
