Happy New Year to you all! We hope you’ve enjoyed the festive season and are looking forward to the year ahead.
We spent the first day of 2019 on the hills, climbing Beinn Bhan in Glen Loy. It’s near Fort William and not too far from the hostel. Like a lot of Scotland’s smaller mountains, what it lacks in altitude is more than made up for by its setting and the fantastic views of the mountains it is nestled among. Today, as our cobwebs were being blown away we got a 360 degree vista of the mountain ranges all around. The sun’s rays splitting through the clouds over Ben Nevis and Fort William were definitely worth getting out of the car for!
We’re already planning tomorrow’s day out! You have to make the most of a good forecast. No rain or wind, bright sunshine and superb visibility are not to be sniffed at, particularly at this time of year.
If you’re looking for somewhere to stay this winter we’re open again for general bookings on 3rd January. You can check our availability and book online from our website. You can also call us or email us. It’s best to book in advance so that we know you’re coming and please note that until Easter we are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
We hope to see you sometime this year.
